Plot Summary[]
Arandir, the captain of the 250th Company during the Dagor Bragollach, and his twenty remaining warriors flee from repeated orc attacks sent from Angband after the elvish defeat and rout during the Battle. He is joined by by his friends Lolindir and Eorlé.
Their central hunter is Brukaksh, an orc of Angband, and at one point Markustrurc, one of the Balrogs of Sauron.
