The Wood-folk were those Northrons who dwelt in the forests of Rhovanion. They were a loose tribe of hunters, herders and gatherers who lived in or below the trees as extended families, bands, or clans. They were Northrons and thus related to the Beijabar of the Misty Mountains and the foothills of the Grey Mountains. They were descended from the Men of the First Age who migrated to the West, therefore being related to the Edain and their descendants, the Dúnedain.
