Song Yenjin, also known as The Great Revolutionary, Hongyuan and 'The Xiangliu', was a revolutionary, founder of the People's State of Shun and major military leader in the east during ancient times.

Early Life[]

Song Yenjin was born to poor peasant parents 20 years before the collapse of The High Kingdom of Rhuin in Xhunjiang, the Shunese capital. He was uneducated and looked to be set up to become a victim of disease or malnourishment. At the age of 7, his mother passed from a fever and weeks later his father died during a stampede at the market. Song was then sent into Liangjin's orphanage, where he resided until he was 16.

Political Rise and Civil War[]

Song applied for a position in a political party, politics having interested him since youth. He applied to, and joined, the Youminzhudang and was interred in the party as an scribe and aide. at the age of 20, war broke out in Shun's neighboring kingdom, The High Kingdom of Rhuin, due to The Righteous Rebellion by the oppressed citizenry and dissatisfied military of that kingdom. The Shunese Democratic party allied itself with the rebels and began to supply weapons to them. Song travelled to the neighboring kingdom and joined the rebels, fighting as a infantry man in several major battle's including the final battle outside the kingdom's capital.

Envoy to Chiang[]

At the age of 28, Song was called to the Shunese court by the monarch and offered the position of envoy, which he accepted, and so he was carted away to the embassy in The Great Chiang, where he was to attend the Imperial Court there on Shun's behalf. He spent the next few months advising, and at times acting a commander, to and for the Chian monarch, Cheng Luzheng. During this time, Song served as a joint Shunese-Chian general during the infamous Battle of the Sea of Rhun.

Shunese Revolution[]

Returning to Shun, Song began to form a radical new political philosophy. He found a political party called Zairenmindeqianmian. He began to hold talks where he preached a anti-monarchist, anti-imperialist and 'for the people' style of government, which began to gain traction with the people due to the declining conditions in the corrupt Kingdom of Shun. After gathering support for 3 years, Song declared the creation of the People's State of Shun and issued a call to rebel. Song gathered his followers in Liangjin and marched on the Royal Palace of Shun, capturing the royal family before a call could be sent out to quell the rebellion. He then sent the royal family into exile in The Great Chiang. Song's most famous quote was spoken during the revolution, direction after the exile of the royal family, he stood at the Royal Palace's balcony and shouted, "Wan sui la ge ming!".
